For this piece, I created a visual representation of a song based on its rhythm. My limitations were that I could not use lyrics, since the main focus was to capture the different sounds heard from each instrument played in the song with images. Using the song “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet, I created a story of clippings from photographs taken of dancers between the 1940s-1950s. The dancers travel through New York City to reach the bright lights of Times Square.
